April’s Cocktail of The Month

This month we’ve got summer pool parties, bbq’s, Red Sox Games, and other outdoor celebrations on the mind. We’re mixing up something extra special to enhance each and every one of your summer celebrations with this month’s cocktail of the month. Our owner, Eric Faiola, enjoyed this cocktail while on vacation in Flordia and said: “this has to be our April Cocktail!” So while this is not a Mystic Wine Shoppe original cocktail, it is still is VERY tasty and as always, easy to make. Enjoy –

Ingredients:

Ketel Oné Citron Vodka (find it at Mystic Wine Shoppe)
Cranberry Juice
Lemonade or Sparkling Lemonade
Fresh limes

Make it:

Mix together 3 ounces of vodka, 3/4 cup lemonade and 1/2 cup cranberry juice
Squeeze lime to taste and use as garnish
Enjoy!

St. Patty’s Day Cocktail

Of course, brews and whiskey are bound to be on your menu for St. Patrick’s Day this Sunday. We wanted to shake it up a bit. We held a poll on Instagram, and you voted we listened! We created a yummy, festive Irish Whiskey beverage! Behold our O’Cream cocktail! We can’t wait for you to try it.

The ingredients and creation is simple!

on ice
3 ounces of The Irishman Irish Cream
2 ounces Prizefight Irish Whiskey

This delicious cocktail will impress your guests and honor your Irish heritage (I mean… everyone’s Irish on St. Patty’s day, right?). Stop into Mystic Wine Shoppe to pick up the ingredients and other Irish choices!

Valentine’s Day Cocktail

You didn’t think we would pass up a chance to make a festive Valentine’s Day cocktail, did you?! We love LOVE and are excited to share our Valentine’s Day cocktail with you. This drink is the perfect way to impress your valentine or galentine this year. This would pair perfectly with a nice charcuterie plate and maybe the Boys II Men Pandora Station (haha). Stop waiting till the very last minute and head on over to Mystic Wine Shoppe and grab a bottle of Triple Cranberry Vodka and Mionetto Prosecco and get mixin’.

Ingredients:

1 cup of Mionetto Prosecco
1.5 ounces of Triple Cranberry Vodka
Frozen cherries or another type of frozen fruit

Mix it up:

Combine all ingredients in a cold glass and enjoy! Cheers!

December’s Eggnog Cocktail

Tis the season to be merry, buy gifts and drink eggnog cocktails! This month we’re pulling out the good old eggnog to create a warming cocktail that will have you singing “fa la la la la la la” all evening long. Feeling weary about using eggnog in your cocktail, don’t! This smooth, bold and delicious drink makes the perfect mate with vodka and other spirits. Read on for all the tasty details…

Ingredients:

2 Ounces Vodka (we used Kettle One Vodka)
1 Cup Eggnog
3 TBSP Cinnamon & Sugar (for rim and topping)
2 TBSP Chocolate sauce

Mix It UP:

Pour vodka, eggnog and 1 TBSP of chocolate sauce into a shaker and Shake Shake Shake
To make rim:
- place the chocolate sauce on a plate
- mix cinnamon & sugar together and place on a plate
- place the top of the cup into chocolate sauce then into the cinnamon mix
Pour the shaken mix into the sugar rimmed cup and enjoy

Add Ons:

This recipe could also be great with Kahlua and/or Baileys

Blueberry Holiday Cocktail

We’re getting into the holiday spirit with our November Cocktail of The Month! This delicious and easy-to-make cocktail is sure to be a holiday hit at your Thanksgiving table or at your holiday bash.

Ingredients:

Triple Eight Blueberry Vodka – We had leftover from our “Go Patriots” cocktail so we used that
Frozen cranberries & blueberries
Sparkling Cider

Make it:

Place 8-12 frozen berries into glass cup
Pour 2 ounces of blueberry vodka into glass
Top it off with sparkling cider

Cocktail of The Month: Spiked Hot Cocoa

The days are getting colder, leaves are falling and carving pumpkins is on everyone’s to-do list… fall is officially here! We’re not sure about you, but we love this time of year! If you’re looking for a warming cocktail to enjoy this fall, try our Spiked Hot Cocoa. It’s delicious and easy to make.

We used The Irishman Irish Cream to make this cocktail and it didn’t disappoint. You could also replace with Bailey’s Irish Cream and possibly add some Kahlúa (yum).

Ingredients:

2 ounch of The Irishman Irish Cream
Hot Chocolate Mix
1 cup of milk
Handful of Marshmallows (or more if you’re really crazy.. :))

Directions: Combine all ingredients and enjoy! We suggest grabbing some fun Halloween decor to create a fun and festive evening!!

September’s Cocktail of The Month

Ketal One Grapefruit & Rose Vodka is the perfect liquor to end summer with! This delicious smelling and tasting vodka makes a great cocktail, especially when you add fresh basil and grapefruit soda to the mix. Keep summer going with this tasty cocktail –

Ingredients:

Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose
Grapefruit Soda
Fresh basil
Soda water

Mix it up:

1.5 oz of Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose
1 oz of grapefruit soda (we used San Pellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages)
1 oz of soda water
Fresh basil (as much as you would like)

August’s Lime Cocktail of The Month

Get your limes out!!! This month we’re mixing-up a tasty cocktail with Patrón Citrónge Lime Liquor. If you haven’t tried this Patron flavor yet, hurry into Mystic Wine Shoppe and pick-up a bottle to celebrate the rest of summer.
