Simple Summer Margarita

Welp, it’s happening, summer is coming to an end. Which means one thing… time to drink MORE margaritas. You’re probably busy squeezing in those last-minute vacations and getting the kids ready for school so we made this cocktail recipe easy for you.

Ingredients:

  • Tequila – we used Milagro Silver
  • Frozen raspberries
  • Limes
  • Soda Water – we used Spindrift Lime Soda Water (it’s oh so good)
  • Fresh mint (optional)

Make It:

  • Place 1/2 cup frozen berries into a cup
  • Pour in 1.5 ounces of tequila
  • Pour in about 3/4 cup of soda water
  • Squeeze in fresh limes (we squeezed about half a lime into one drink)
  • Garnish with mint

Arnold Palmer with a Twist

The sun is shining, pools are open and the cocktails are flowing. YES!  Summer is here and it feels so good!

July’s delicious cocktail is another easy-to-make cocktail… All you need is some Deep Eddy Sweet Tea, lemonade and lemons to create this delicious beverage everyone (above 21) will love.

Ingredients:

  • Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka: Tasting Notes – Deep Eddy Sweet Tea begins with our 10x-distilled Original Vodka, to which we add real, whole-leaf Indonesian Black Tea and sweeten with a hint of organic honey from a local Texas Hill Country apiary. Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka was our first product, but like the rest of our vodkas, doesn’t take itself too seriously!
  • Lemonade: We used organic lemonade from our next store neighbor, Stop & Shop
  • Lemon wedge

Make It: Mix together 2 ounces of Deep Eddy with 4 ounces of lemonade and add a lemon wedge

Summer Moscow Mule

This summer we’re excited to sip these tasty Summer Moscow Mules by the pool! Raise your hand if agree! Now, don’t get us wrong, we love ourselves a classic Moscow Mule but wanted to put a fresh summer twist on it.  Our recipe includes fresh oranges and soda water… give it a try!

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  • Pour 3 ounces of Ketel One Vodka in a glass with ice
  • Add ginger beer and soda water (use as much or as little as you would like)
  • Squeeze oranges and limes into the drink
  • Enjoy! Cheers!

April’s Cocktail of The Month

This month we’ve got summer pool parties, bbq’s, Red Sox Games, and other outdoor celebrations on the mind. We’re mixing up something extra special to enhance each and every one of your summer celebrations with this month’s cocktail of the month.  Our owner, Eric Faiola, enjoyed this cocktail while on vacation in Flordia and said: “this has to be our April Cocktail!”  So while this is not a Mystic Wine Shoppe original cocktail, it is still is VERY tasty and as always, easy to make. Enjoy –

Ingredients:

  • Ketel Oné Citron Vodka (find it at Mystic Wine Shoppe)
  • Cranberry Juice
  • Lemonade or Sparkling Lemonade
  • Fresh limes

Make it:

  • Mix together 3 ounces of vodka, 3/4 cup lemonade and 1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • Squeeze lime to taste and use as garnish
  • Enjoy!

St. Patty’s Day Cocktail

Of course, brews and whiskey are bound to be on your menu for St. Patrick’s Day this Sunday. We wanted to shake it up a bit. We held a poll on Instagram, and you voted we listened! We created a yummy, festive Irish Whiskey beverage! Behold our O’Cream cocktail! We can’t wait for you to try it.IMG_9294

The ingredients and creation is simple!

  • on ice
  • 3 ounces of The Irishman Irish Cream
  • 2 ounces Prizefight Irish Whiskey

This delicious cocktail will impress your guests and honor your Irish heritage (I mean… everyone’s Irish on St. Patty’s day, right?). Stop into Mystic Wine Shoppe to pick up the ingredients and other Irish choices!

Valentine’s Day Cocktail

You didn’t think we would pass up a chance to make a festive Valentine’s Day cocktail, did you?!  We love LOVE and are excited to share our Valentine’s Day cocktail with you.  This drink is the perfect way to impress your valentine or galentine this year.  This would pair perfectly with a nice charcuterie plate and maybe the Boys II Men Pandora Station (haha). Stop waiting till the very last minute and head on over to Mystic Wine Shoppe and grab a bottle of Triple Cranberry Vodka and Mionetto Prosecco and get mixin’.

December’s Eggnog Cocktail

Tis the season to be merry, buy gifts and drink eggnog cocktails! This month we’re pulling out the good old eggnog to create a warming cocktail that will have you singing “fa la la la la la la” all evening long. Feeling weary about using eggnog in your cocktail, don’t! This smooth, bold and delicious drink makes the perfect mate with vodka and other spirits.  Read on for all the tasty details…

Ingredients:

  • 2 Ounces Vodka (we used Kettle One Vodka)
  • 1 Cup Eggnog
  • 3 TBSP Cinnamon & Sugar (for rim and topping)
  • 2 TBSP Chocolate sauce

Mix It UP:

  • Pour vodka, eggnog and 1 TBSP of chocolate sauce into a shaker and Shake Shake Shake
  • To make rim:
    • place the chocolate sauce on a plate
    • mix cinnamon & sugar together and place on a plate
    • place the top of the cup into chocolate sauce then into the cinnamon mix
  • Pour the shaken mix into the sugar rimmed cup and enjoy

Blueberry Holiday Cocktail

We’re getting into the holiday spirit with our November Cocktail of The Month! This delicious and easy-to-make cocktail is sure to be a holiday hit at your Thanksgiving table or at your holiday bash.

  • Place 8-12 frozen berries into glass cup
  • Pour 2 ounces of blueberry vodka into glass
  • Top it off with sparkling cider
