Creamy RumChata Hot Cocoa

This may be one of our favorite Cocktails of The Month yet! Just think about a warm, chocolatey, and toasty hot cocoa and you’ve got this month’s recipe. We made this one easy for you because we know you’re busy with wrapping presents and trimming the tree 🙂 Enjoy!

Ingredients:

RumChata to taste
- RumChata is the perfect blend of Rum, Cream, Cinnamon, and Vanilla.
1 Cup Hot Cocoa | we used a packet of hot cocoa mix and added in a teaspoon of cacao powder to add a nutritional benefit, cause why not
Toppings: Marshmallows, chocolate bits, and whipped cream (you could also try crushed up andes mints)

Make it: Add the Rum Chata to your hot cup of hot cocoa and top with marshmallows and chocolate bits!!! ENJOY!

Sparkling Cranberry Cider Cocktail

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we thought this warming cranberry cocktail was appropriate. With just a few tasty ingredients (you know we like a nice and easy cocktail) this one is simple to make while also packing in some serious flavor. So, what’s our secret? Champlain Orchards Cranberry Hard Cider adds flavor, bubbles, and pairs perfectly with Doc Brown’s Really Bad Dark Rum. Check it out –

Ingredients:

3 oz of Champlain Orchards Cranberry Hard Cider
1 oz of Doc Brown’s Really Bad Dark Rum
2 oz of cranberry juice, apple cider, or another mixer of your choice (we used cranberry juice for a tart cocktail)
1 apple (for garnish)

Make This Cocktail:

Mix the cider, rum, and mixer together over ice
Garnish with an apple slice (or cranberries would be fancy too)

Our Fall Dark & Stormy

It’s official, fall is in the air! We’re celebrating the arrival of a new season with this delicious Fall Dark & Stormy cocktail. As always, this is easy to whip up and every ingredient (except the apple) can be found at Mystic Wine Shoppe.

Enjoy by a toasty fire, watching the Patriots game or perhaps at your Halloween party! Enjoy and please share your Dark & Stormy recipes with us.

Cocktail Ingredients:

2 ounces of Doc Brown’s Really Bad Rum. Co, Dark (purchase this at Mystic Wine Shoppe)
2 TBSP Angostura Aromatic Bitters (purchase this at Mystic Wine Shoppe)
1 bottle of Fever-Tree Ginger Beer (purchase this at Mystic Wine Shoppe)
1 Apple (cut up into small pieces)

Make it:

Cut up 2-3 slices of apples into small pieces
Add in rum, bitters and ginger beer
Add ice
Optional – squeeze a slice of lime into cocktail

Simple Summer Margarita

Welp, it’s happening, summer is coming to an end. Which means one thing… time to drink MORE margaritas. You’re probably busy squeezing in those last-minute vacations and getting the kids ready for school so we made this cocktail recipe easy for you.

Ingredients:

Tequila – we used Milagro Silver
Frozen raspberries
Limes
Soda Water – we used Spindrift Lime Soda Water (it’s oh so good)
Fresh mint (optional)

Make It:

Place 1/2 cup frozen berries into a cup
Pour in 1.5 ounces of tequila
Pour in about 3/4 cup of soda water
Squeeze in fresh limes (we squeezed about half a lime into one drink)
Garnish with mint

Delicious Summer Margaritas

Who doesn’t LOVE a good summer margarita?!

The one thing we know is that this margarita recipe is EASY, refreshingly delicious and sure to be the perfect companion at your next pool party, camping adventure or BBQ. Check it out –

Ingredients:

Silver Tequila (we used Milagro Tequila)
Agalima Organic Margarita Mix: This delicious mix is made with single-pressed limes and Jalisco blue agave nectar

Fresh limes

How to make it:

Mix together 2 ounces of tequila, 4 ounces mix and add fresh lime juice

Summer Moscow Mule

This summer we’re excited to sip these tasty Summer Moscow Mules by the pool! Raise your hand if agree! Now, don’t get us wrong, we love ourselves a classic Moscow Mule but wanted to put a fresh summer twist on it. Our recipe includes fresh oranges and soda water… give it a try!

Ingredients:

Ketel One Citroen
Fresh Limes and Oranges
Ginger Beer (we used the Trader Joes brand)
Orange Flavored Soda Water (we used Trader Joes Seltzers With A Splash)

Instructions:

Pour 3 ounces of Ketel One Vodka in a glass with ice
Add ginger beer and soda water (use as much or as little as you would like)
Squeeze oranges and limes into the drink
Enjoy! Cheers!

April’s Cocktail of The Month

This month we’ve got summer pool parties, bbq’s, Red Sox Games, and other outdoor celebrations on the mind. We’re mixing up something extra special to enhance each and every one of your summer celebrations with this month’s cocktail of the month. Our owner, Eric Faiola, enjoyed this cocktail while on vacation in Flordia and said: “this has to be our April Cocktail!” So while this is not a Mystic Wine Shoppe original cocktail, it is still is VERY tasty and as always, easy to make. Enjoy –

Ingredients:

Ketel Oné Citron Vodka (find it at Mystic Wine Shoppe)
Cranberry Juice
Lemonade or Sparkling Lemonade
Fresh limes

Make it:

Mix together 3 ounces of vodka, 3/4 cup lemonade and 1/2 cup cranberry juice
Squeeze lime to taste and use as garnish
Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day Cocktail

You didn’t think we would pass up a chance to make a festive Valentine’s Day cocktail, did you?! We love LOVE and are excited to share our Valentine’s Day cocktail with you. This drink is the perfect way to impress your valentine or galentine this year. This would pair perfectly with a nice charcuterie plate and maybe the Boys II Men Pandora Station (haha). Stop waiting till the very last minute and head on over to Mystic Wine Shoppe and grab a bottle of Triple Cranberry Vodka and Mionetto Prosecco and get mixin’.

Ingredients:

1 cup of Mionetto Prosecco
1.5 ounces of Triple Cranberry Vodka
Frozen cherries or another type of frozen fruit

Mix it up:

Combine all ingredients in a cold glass and enjoy! Cheers!
